Stumbled on Saint Soldiers song Sister, such a important message. I truly believe that we must all do our part to create a better world. This why I became politicly active, it is so easy to just complain and not take responsability and try make it better according to your beliefs. I'm not saying that I have all the answers to how our society should be governed but I try to do my part, a very small part but still.
Knowing nothing about Saint Soldier, I still grateful because he reminded me of a very important issue, about these girls. He did it with creativity and style, I like this song, I like words and the beat. And I going to spread the word of it where I can, to shed some light on this topic. Thank you, Maple Leaf Sikh for posting about Saint Soldier.
With this post I hope that you feel a little bit inspired to do something to make this world a better place. I challenge you, if you don't anything else give someone a smile, a hug or a kind word. Making the world a better place doesn't have to involve grand gestures, the smallest thing can make the biggest difference.

Hesitating
Why am I hesitating now? It's now possible for me to apply to teacher training course and become Kundalini Yoga and Meditation teacher. It's expensive but it's doable. I have longed to take a course like this for a long time and now I feel hesitation. I feel like it's to much money to spend on me, I'm afraid that I will not like it then regret it. Unfortunately the biggest part is that I don't feel worthy. So I asked for a hukam and hope it would tell me too apply:
I probably will apply, but the course might be full already and maybe I can't go. But I hope I will.
By the way, I absolutely love the cyber-hukams. It's easily accessible, I learn so much and it's a way to connect. You can interpret the hukam to apply to your life and the situation you need help or support with right now. I really hope that I'm not offending any one, I don't know if your "allowed" to use the hukam like this.
The ointment of spiritual wisdom is obtained from the True Guru.Thank you, divine and omnipresent!

Cyber-Hukam
Through a sister blog, (Swedish woman doing a kundalini yoga & mediation journey also sikhing as she puts it)Sweat and laugh: a journey into kundalini yoga, I found something called a Cyber-Hukam. I really tried to do this the respectful way and found out it's customary to recite Ardaas before taking a Hukam, standing before the Guru Granth Sahib Ji with your hands put together.
Unfortunately, I could not understand what I was supposed to say. I did some searches on "Ardaas" on google and sikhiwiki. Finally I came to understand that I should say the first part of the Ardaas, starting with Pritham Bhagautee. Weirdly enough, this is my favorite song with Snatam Kaur so I looked on the SpiritVoyage Mantrapedia and Pritham Bhagautee is the also known as Ardaas, so I said it all since I didn't know where to stop. I clicked on the "Take Hukamnama" and this is the advice to me:
This is true, this was for me. This is love on an unimaginable level. I was moved to tears by the truth of it. I'm so grateful to Pimu for showing me this.
After taking the hukam I said 'Guru Granth Ji Maneo, Pargat Guraa Ki Deh. Guru Granth Sahib is the spiritual embodiment of the Gurus. Jo Prabh Ko Milbo Chahe, Khoj Shabad Meh Leh. Those who seek union with God should search through the divine wisdom contained in Guru Granth Sahib.', something I read you should do after. It felt right, so I guess it was.
Here are some beautiful songs containing the words of the hukam for me:
Amrit Kirtan singing the Mul Mantra
Guru Ganesha Singh singing the Mul Mantra (from Live at five)
Guru Ganesha Singh singing the Mul Mantra (from Grateful Ganesh)
Snatam Kaur singing the Mul Mantra (from Anand)
Sat Kartar singing the Mul Mantra (from A Daily Practice)
Guru Das Singh and Kaur singing the Mool Mantra (from Longing to belong)
Chardikala Jatha singing the Mool Mantra

One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying. Beyond Birth. Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace

Learning more
This is day 37. When I did my sadhana yesterday I could feel my anxiety fly away. My mind was wired up with travel fright about my upcoming trip this weekend. I leaving early, early on friday morning to go to the second part of the women's course on values and leadership. It was so sweet to see the instant effect of kundalini yoga and meditation.
Today I got the most beautiful email, filled with inspirational reading about sikhism. I have so much reading to do and I looking forward to every word. If you also want to know more about sikism, here is link to the Ceremonies and Code of Conduct of Sikh Dharma on sikhnet.com
Peace and bliss to you all!

Feeling fantastic!
Life is sweet. That is the feeling of the day or even this week actually. Feeling happy! This is day 32 of medition and yoga!
I signed up to get Dr Arjan's newsletter with health tips. This weeks to hit close to home for me; why eat crap when you can make much healthier food yourself? Of course in Dr Arjan's newsletter it's much more nicely put, but you get the meaning. Sign up to get the newsletter yourself here.
Something for you to watch; a clip with Snatam Kaur and Guru Ganesha Singh from 2007.
I'll continue spending this Friday evening surfing the Gurbani Media Center; Listening to this right now. I hope I'm in for some nice music.
